Ideal Property Management was founded on January 14, 2022 by Marty Nicoll, Danielle Temos and Isaac Laine, three people who own and run Poconos rentals themselves. We manage homes in Monroe and Carbon Counties from East Stroudsburg.
How Ideal Started
Marty traded a four-unit building in Jersey City for three single-family homes in the Poconos. Two of them came with a property manager already in place, and he took on the third himself to learn the business. Watching the two side by side, he realised the manager on the other homes was doing poor work, and that the only way to get the standard he wanted was to build it. He started the company with Danielle and Isaac.
When the short-term rental market cooled after its pandemic boom, the three partners invested in outside coaching and training rather than cutting corners, so that the homes they managed would keep earning while average homes in the Poconos did not.

Marty co-founded the Poconos Association of Vacation Rental Owners, a nonprofit that speaks for short-term rental owners with townships and communities. He is its Treasurer, and the association's own History page names him a founding leader. Visit poconosvro.org

The Team
Marty Nicoll
Co-founder. MBA in Finance from Rutgers, BA in Math from the City University of New York. Has owned investment property since 1990 and owns three short-term rental homes in the Poconos. Co-founded the Poconos Association of Vacation Rental Owners and serves as its Treasurer.
Danielle Temos
Co-founder. Runs pricing, revenue management and optimization for every managed home. Degrees in Biotechnology and Chemistry.
Isaac Laine
Co-founder. Degree in Business. Over 15 years of hands-on experience with homes, and runs his own excavation business.
Faith Lawrence
Handles guest communication, issue resolution, reviews, damage claims, compliance, purchasing, maintenance coordination and revenue-management support.

Marty co-founded the Poconos Association of Vacation Rental Owners, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit that represents short-term rental owners with townships and communities, runs an annual conference with over 500 attendees and provides education and discounts to members. He serves as its Treasurer.
